Gladys Burgess

Gladys Lawrence Burgess, age 90 of Prospect passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at Southern Tennessee Regional-Pulaski. She was born September 10, 1927 in Giles County. Mrs. Burgess was a member of Minor Hill Church of Christ and retired from Lee Mar Shirt Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Atha Ann White Lawrence and Rufus Lawrence, her sister Lounette Wilburn, her brother Roger Dale Lawrence, and her daughter Paula Burgess Standridge. Mrs. Burgess is survived by her husband of seventy-one years Millard Burgess, her daughter Brenda Beddingfield of Pulaski, and her sister Betty Gooch of Nashville. She is also survived by her brother-in-laws Kenneth Burgess of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Herbert Burgess of Pulaski, and her sister-in-law Willa Francis Gatlin of Stella Community. Her grandchildren include Christy Steelman (Eddie), Cindy Carnell (John), Glen Beddingfield (P.J.), Teresa Beddingfield, and Melisa Austin (David); her great-grandchildren include Karly, Kenzie, Blythe, Daniel, Calon, Jacob, and Jack, as well as three nieces and one nephew.
