John Carl Elliott, Sr., age 89 of Pulaksi, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, on June 12, 1930 to the late Ivan James and Gazela Koseck Elliott. He enlisted into the Army Air Corp and was discharged from the Air Force in 1950. He was founder and owner of John's Lock & Key Service Inc., in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 30 years before retiring to Pulaski, where he stayed very active in many organizations. He enjoyed a fun filled life and loved riding his motorcycle with his wife, Frances. After 16 years serving as Magistrate in Giles County, he fully retired to take care of the love of his life, Frances. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances Elliott, sister, Paula Alder and brother, Sonny Elliott. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Giles Memory Gardens with Military Honors. Survivors include his son, John C. Elliott, Jr. and Mary of Conyers, GA, his grandsons, Patrick Elliott and Nikki of Topeka, KS and Christopher Elliott of Savannah, GA, and his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Abbie, Paisley and Ava Elliott.
